Transmission worksheet / 001
Ready to send
The whole workflow
Set it up first. Pay only when it is ready.
The checkout follows preparation, so an unreadable file, wrong page count, or missing detail can be fixed before the $5 charge.
Add the number and documents
Enter one U.S. fax number, upload PDF/JPG/PNG files, add an optional cover page, and choose where the result email should go.
Review the prepared fax
Check the exact destination, file order, and final page count before money or transmission enters the picture.
Pay $5 once
Complete checkout only after the fax is ready. The payment covers one destination and up to 100 total pages.
Track the result
Follow queued, preparing, and sending progress on the status page. Delivery or failure is also sent to your email.
Files that fax cleanly
PDFs and images, checked as one final document.
Use the original digital file when possible. If you only have paper, scan it square, upright, and with enough contrast to read signatures and small type.
Best for forms, signed documents, and multipage submissions. Remove passwords and reopen the final saved copy.
Useful for a clear document photo or scan. Crop out the desk and check glare, focus, and all four edges.
Good for high-contrast scans and exported images. Do not rely on color alone because fax output may be monochrome.

Temporary by design
Your document has a job, not a permanent home.
The uploaded file exists to prepare and transmit this fax. It is not kept as a document library or attached to a long-term account.
Read the privacy noticeBefore payment
The file is temporarily stored while the service validates, prepares, and counts the fax. Abandoned documents are deleted after the preparation window.
After delivery
The fax document is deleted after transmission. Transaction metadata needed for the receipt, support, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal duties may remain longer.
After failure
The document may be held briefly to support a retry, then deleted. The result email and status page explain the available path.
Compliance is still your decision
We do not claim HIPAA compliance. Confirm regulatory, contractual, deadline, and recipient requirements before uploading sensitive documents.
Delivery tracking
Payment is not delivery. The status page tells the rest.
Fax is a live connection to another machine or service. We show the transmission states instead of pretending the recipient answered the moment checkout finished.
Preparing
Payment is confirmed and the final document is made available for transmission.
Sending
The provider connects to the recipient and transmits the pages. Time varies by document and line.
Delivered or failed
The final provider result appears on the status page and arrives by email for your records.
Online or at the counter?
Skip the retail fax trip only when online is the better tool.
Retail stores remain useful for paper originals, cash payment, international faxing, incoming fax pickup, or in-person help. For an existing digital file and a U.S. destination, online removes printing and travel.

Before you upload
Detailed answers, without hand-waving.
Fax delivery still depends on the number, receiving line, document, and recipient process. These are the boundaries worth knowing.
Do I need an account or subscription?
No. You provide an email for this fax’s result, but you do not create a login and the $5 payment does not renew.
What does $5 include?
One outbound fax to one U.S. destination, with a final prepared length of up to 100 pages. A second destination is a separate fax.
Which file types can I fax?
Just One Fax accepts PDF, JPG, and PNG. PDF is usually best for multipage documents; clear images work for individual scanned pages.
Does an optional cover page count toward 100 pages?
Yes. The cover page is part of the final prepared fax and counts toward the 100-page maximum.
Can I fax an international number?
No. Just One Fax currently sends to U.S. fax numbers only. It does not offer international or broadcast faxing.
How will I know if the fax was delivered?
The private status page shows transmission progress, and the final delivery or failure result is emailed to you. Delivered status does not prove the recipient reviewed or accepted the document.
How long does a fax take?
Transmission time varies with page count, page complexity, connection setup, line quality, and retries. Wait for a final delivered or failed status rather than estimating from payment time.
What happens to my document?
The document is stored temporarily to prepare and send the fax, then deleted after delivery. A failed document may be held briefly for retry before deletion. Transaction metadata needed for receipts, support, fraud prevention, and legal obligations may be retained longer.
Is Just One Fax HIPAA compliant?
Just One Fax does not advertise HIPAA compliance. If health, financial, legal, employment, or other rules apply, verify that this service and the recipient’s fax process meet your requirements before uploading.
What if the receiving fax line fails?
A busy, disconnected, or non-answering line can prevent delivery. The final status and email identify failure and provide the available retry or refund path.
Can I receive a fax with Just One Fax?
No. This is an outbound one-time service and does not assign inbound fax numbers.
